Creative Caldera is a not for profit organisation that is run by volunteers who, together with a Management Committee, Stakeholder Advisory Group and President, work to make things happen.

When you volunteer, you work to promote, organise and deliver activities and events to support the arts in the Tweed Shire. Our aim is to make the arts industry visible and viable. We need your help to do this.

We host arts networking events. Our online presence includes this website and a social media presence.  Artists and those of us with a passion for the arts can swap stories, get in contact and develop professional skills to support our creative endeavours.

We help people make their talent marketable. To do this we need you.

Successful volunteers get something out of their work too. When you volunteer we try to use your skills to best advantage – hence the application process – but also develop your skills. You might get the chance to do and learn something you’d never get the opportunity to do otherwise. And it helps promote the Tweed as a major arts destination.

We encourage your participation in professional development opportunities developed with Creative Caldera’s partners. It gives you the chance to become a more active member of the local arts community.

When you become a volunteer

We ask you to keep up to date with our activities – we think this will involve about an hour a week. We’ll negotiate with you around spending time in the Creative Caldera office or assisting with events during the day or evening.  Some volunteer activities allow for working at home. We’re sure you’re aware that when the big events are on, everyone gets very involved to make it happen. Hey, it’s a mutual thing.
